Field Service Technician (Electronics / Navigation & Communication Systems), £26K - £30K, Surrey (Hybrid/Field-Based)

£26,000 – £30,000 salary guide + travel allowances + overtime + company benefits

Are you an electronics Technician or Field Service Technician with an interest in working on real-world communication and navigation systems? Do you enjoy a hands-on role involving installation, fault-finding, and working on customer sites?

Your background as a Field Service Technician:

HNC/HND, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or similar.
Some level of experience with electronic systems installation, maintenance or repair
Ability to fault-find and diagnose issues on electrical / electronic equipment
Any exposure to communications systems, RF, satellite, or networking equipment would be beneficial
Comfortable working in a field-based role with travel and customer interaction
Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently

Field Service Technician responsibilities:

Install, service, and repair navigation and communication systems
Carry out testing, commissioning, and fault-finding on-site
Support system upgrades, retrofits, and integration projects
Conduct surveys and inspections in line with industry standards
Prepare equipment/materials and complete technical reports
Liaise with customers and maintain tools, spares, and equipment

This Field Service Technician role is commutable from Redhill, Crawley, Epson, Croydon, Sevenoaks, Surrey and surrounding areas.
