An opportunity to work as an Calibration Technician for a technically advanced engineering business operating at the forefront of automotive research and development. Working in an ISO 17025 UKAS-accredited laboratory, you will support the calibration and maintenance of highly sophisticated test instruments used in critical development and testing environments.

This Calibration Technician job will suit:

A Calibration Technician / Electronics Technician / Engineering Technician with some previous calibration experience.
Experience working in a calibration lab (preferably UKAS accredited) and familiar with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards.
Comfortable working with instrumentation, circuit boards, and making component-level changes (e.g., surface mount devices).
Skilled in using computer systems for calibration data processing and equipment management.
You will hold a Level 3 (or higher) qualification in a relevant discipline.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical reports and calibration certificates.

This Calibration Technician job will involve:

Performing multi-disciplinary calibration of instrumentation to ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards.
Assessing instrument faults and carrying out minor repairs or component replacements.
Producing technical reports and calibration certificates for internal and external clients.
Supporting client on-site calibration activities and liaising directly with engineering staff.
Using databases and systems for managing calibration data and tracking equipment status.
Assisting in the development and improvement of calibration procedures and equipment.
