​Tool Room Machinist

• Varied machining role responsible for manufacturing tools and jigs.

• Days based only. No shift work required.

• A mix of CNC and manual machining.

This is a rare opportunity to work within this highly reputable precision engineering business. You will have the opportunity to utilise your machining skills across both CNC and manual machines within a very modern facility. The parts are used within the aerospace sector, so quality and efficient machining processes are key within the business. No shift work involved (just days – with an early Friday finish), and overtime readily available.

Salary & Package: £28,000 to £30,500 basic + Overtime. 5% employer pension. 25 days holiday + banks. Life Insurance.

This Tool Room Machinist job will suit:

• A proven Machinist who enjoys variety in both the parts they machine, and the machinery used.

• Someone who is hands on and capable of working with documentation.

• Ideally apprentice trained, and hold an engineering related qualification.

The Tool Room Machinist job will involve:

• The manufacture of jigs & Fixtures

• The manufacture of test pieces.

• Setting / Operating CNC & manual machines

• Ensuring processed parts conform to drawing
