Are you an automotive engineer with a thermal systems / thermodynamics / thermal engineering background that is passionate about the ever-evolving automotive technology landscape? We are seeking an automotive engineer / thermal engineer with a strong technical background in thermal systems engineering and thermodynamics focused on the development of automotive / vehicle thermal / refrigerant systems.

Your background as a Thermal Systems Engineer:

  • You will have a background in thermal systems engineering and thermodynamics related to automotive / vehicle engineering applications.

  • Your technical experience will include exposure to one or more of the following: powertrain cooling systems, air conditioning systems, automotive refrigerant systems, battery thermal management systems, heat pump systems, fuel cell systems.

  • 1D modelling and simulation experience using GT-Suite or similar tools.

  • Any thermal rig-based testing experience would be beneficial.

  • You will be degree qualified in a mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, systems engineering or similar engineering or science-based discipline.

Thermal Systems Engineer responsibilities:

  • You will be working on customer and internal R&D projects related to full vehicle thermal management systems for battery electric vehicles and fuel cell electric vehicles.

  • Lead and/or support the development of innovative vehicle thermal management systems through 1D modelling and/or bench testing of battery electric and fuel cell vehicles.

  • Carry out engineering development tests on refrigerant / thermal systems and provide thermodynamic analysis.
