This Test Technician job will suit:

• A Technician or Engineer that will enjoy working within an automotive research, development and test environment.
• The tests performed are electrical / electronics focused but will require mechanical skills (test set up on the vehicles) so your background could be electrical / electronics / mechanical or a mix.
• Ideally you will be familiar with using test equipment, but specific training can be given.
• You are likely to hold a relevant qualification (apprenticeship, ONC, HNC, HND) in an electrical engineering / electronic engineering / mechanical engineering discipline. 

This Test Technician job will involve:

• Testing of vehicles (cars, buses, motorcycles, construction vehicles) within test laboratory environments.
• Test set up and strip down, this will involve putting test equipment onto vehicles prior to testing and removing afterwards in a safe manner.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate test records.
• Performing quality checks and analysis on test work being undertaken. 
• Liaison with Engineers and customers.

• The role will involve working on a rotating double shift system (Mon-Fri 6am-2.30pm & 2pm-10.30pm).
