This Test Engineer will involve:

• Manage and coordinate customer products ready for testing (solid oxide fuel cell technology).

• From an engineering perspective this is automated testing of fuel cells for research and development so covers a breadth of engineering disciplines including electrical power, heat, gas, control systems, chemical and thermodynamic processes.

• You will oversee the set up and execution of durability tests on the product.

• Installation of test pieces on test stands.

• Data acquisition and analysis, reporting, and presentation of findings and recommendations.

• Working closely with customer Engineers.

• Product and test stand fault finding, diagnosis and repair.

This Test Engineer job will suit:

• A Test Engineer or Development Engineer or an Engineer with experience of working within a product or technology testing environment.

• Experience of semi-automated or automated test equipment or experience of managing / operating equipment that uses a variety of engineering services (electrical power, heat, gas etc…) to test products would be preferred.

• Any specific experience of fuel cell, battery systems, automotive, aerospace, or similar advanced technology sectors would be beneficial.

• You are likely to hold a relevant qualification in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
