We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide internal and direct customer technical support for software platforms that automate, control and monitor test rigs to test automotive engines, electric vehicle batteries, fuel cells, motors, vehicles, powertrains, and components to acquire, analyse and manage test data.

Your background as a Technical Support Engineer:

  • We are looking for a candidate that either has experience of test automation systems, measurement systems, PLC control systems or similar systems OR direct experience of automotive test rigs / test systems related to powertrain, propulsion, or vehicle development areas.

  • You will have a good level of competence using general IT systems and have more than a basic level of experience using Excel.

  • You are likely to be degree qualified in an engineering or science-based discipline, but a degree is not essential as long as you have a recognised qualification (e.g., Apprenticeship, HNC, HND etc…).

Technical Support Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Provide internal and direct customer technical support for software platforms that automate, control and monitor test rigs to test automotive engines, electric vehicle batteries, motors, vehicles, powertrains, and components to acquire, analyse and manage test data.

  • You will also provide technical support on enterprise level web-based software platforms that supports secure test data management.

  • Support the further development of test automation applications.

  • Some domestic and international travel but this will be very minimal.

This job when working from the office is commutable from Kidderminster, Worcester, Birmingham, Hereford, Redditch, Tewkesbury, Evesham, Ledbury, Stourbridge, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stratford-upon-Avon.
