Sustainability Manager job vacancy with a large industrial group.  They are looking for a proactive Sustainability Manager to recommend opportunities for change to the Senior Management team.

·Sustainability Manager at mid management grade, sitting on the Group Sustainability Committee.

·Monitor external factors like legislation and regulatory factors.

·Look outside of the business, attend exhibitions, conferences and liaise with Sustainability Managers working at in customer and supplier organisations.

·Drive change across the group by recommending opportunities for change to senior management.  These Sustainability opportunities may be stimulated by legislative demands or social-economic drivers.  The sustainability Manager will recommend pragmatic courses of action which enable the senior management to meet legislative demands, respond to customer demands and meet the practicalities of industrial and commercial objectives.

·Produce reports, updates and information for colleagues and shareholders.

This Sustainability Manager job will suit a person with

·The ability to produce short factual reports with recommended courses of action.

·A degree or similar in subjects which would ideally include sustainability or environmental topics, or a degree in something like geography, sciences, technical or engineering and career experience in sustainability, ESG/CSR.  A post-graduate qualification would be ideal, e.g. IEMA (The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment).

·As the sustainability Manager remit grows there will be opportunity to;

·Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and keep up to date with UK, European Union and international regulation and legislation

·Liaise with relevant bodies such as local authorities, public bodies and competent bodies

·Audit, analyse and report environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies

£50,000 - £54,000 negotiable + pension matched upto 6%, bonus upto 5%, 25 days leave + Bank Holidays, life cover, and voucher/discount schemes for eye care, bicycles, etc and Share Incentive Scheme…..and great career development potential in a global business.
