Supplier Quality Engineer Manufacturing

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be part of an automotive manufacturing quality engineering team. The SQE works with suppliers to raise NCRs, Non Conformance Reports, work together to identify Corrective Actions and close-out NCR Corrective Actions. There will be some supplier vetting and vendor rating too. This is a professional SQE Supplier Quality role in a high quality manufacturing sector. The manufacturing production engineering business has a high proportion of batch manufacturing and NPI New Product Introduction, plus increasing involvement in hybrid electric vehicle platforms.

Key skills and experience for this Supplier Quality role include:

·Understanding ISO9001, IATF 16949 and professional quality systems

·A background in Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance in a technical field, engineering or technical product context such as aerospace, automotive, medical or specialist materials.

·Problem solving tools like 8D, 5Y, Ishikawa

·Data collection, SPC

·Some experience of Internal Auditing or Supplier Auditing in the manufacturing engineering production facility.

·Professional communication skills, strong English language skills and the ability to liaise with colleagues and suppliers in all formats; written, in person, by video and telephone.
