The Stores Job

• Responsible for Goods Inwards process.  Receipt of consumable stocks, tools and miscellaneous orders from all suppliers, as well as returns (tools & consumables) from field technicians.  Inspection to agreed procedures and performance of inspection tests defined in our quality plan.  Booking in of items on computerised system
• Ensure all goods (consumables and tools) are appropriately and securely stored in designated bays, correctly labelled/located on racking and back office systems are updated with accurate quantities by location.  Be prepared for and assist with 1st and 3rd party audits of accuracy and quality of activity.

About you / Your background

• Some sort of stores experience or logistics. warehouse / yard organising goods in / goods inwards etc
• FLT licence would be beneficial
• Local to Newton Aycliffe
• Clean driving licence (or less than 6 points)
• Experience of stores and good inwards. There is a yard and some outside work here ;  it’s not small parcels in a logistics hub it’s bigger stuff (so ideally you will have experience in engineering/manufacturing/ plant/equipment etc)
• OK IT / computer skills to log stock etc
