    About the Role

    We’re looking for an experienced Steel Sales professional to join our small, supportive team in an office-based role. Ideally, you’ll come from a steel stockholding background or have knowledge of steel tube products. This position is all about building strong customer relationships, managing accounts, and driving sales within the engineering and construction sectors.

    • Proven experience in Steel Sales, ideally within a steel stockholding environment.

    • Knowledge of steel tube and related products is highly desirable.

    • Strong account management skills combined with proactive sales ability.

    • Confident communicator who enjoys building rapport with customers.

    • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Familiarity with engineering or construction sectors is an advantage.

    • Manage and grow steel sales to a portfolio of engineering and construction customers.

    • Handle inbound steel sales enquiries and provide accurate, timely quotations.

    • Proactively contact existing and recent customers to strengthen relationships and uncover new steel sales opportunities.

    • Make warm prospecting calls to warm leads generated by the steel sales Manager.

    • Re-engage dormant accounts with tailored outreach.

    • Cross-sell additional steel products to existing customers.

    • Work closely with colleagues in the workshop to stay informed on product availability and specifications.
