Software Engineer
Software Engineering position focussing on the development of control systems used within the power generation sector.
C£40,000 to £47,000 per annum as a guide + hybrid working opportunities.
Multi national organisation with excellent working facilities.
We are currently looking to recruit a Software Engineer who is used to working projects within either the industrial, power generation, or automation sectors. Opportunity to be a part of an established team who are constantly driving development programmes. Experience with C, C++, Embedded Linux, and Windows would all be ideal for this position.
Salary & Package: £40,000 to £47,000 per annum basic. Holidays taken in hours that rises with service– higher degree of flexibility, equivalent to 25 days + bank holidays. Up to 7% employer pension. Life Assurance. Wider discounts and potential cash awards based on achievements.
This Software Engineer job will suit:
A proven Software Engineer who is used to working on projects relating to control systems used within engineering applications.
Sector experience will likely come from either the industrial, power generation, or automation fields.
Knowledge of software-based microsystems / control and communication systems including Modbus, Ethernet and IEC61850
Competency in C, C++ for QNX, embedded Linux and Windows languages.

The Software Engineer job will involve:
Design of software for generator and power system control and monitoring systems.
Work to high standards of software quality control including the use of GitLab and other revision control software
Preparation and review of technical specifications and applications engineering for control system projects.
Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards and programming.
Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
