​Service Engineer

• Electrically biased position that is mostly field based. Would suit an experienced Service, Commissioning, or Maintenance Engineer who enjoys travelling.

• York based office, the role will see you predominantly support equipment across the UK with some European / worldwide travel (roughly 4 trips per year for maybe up to 2 weeks at a time)

We are working with an established engineering manufacturer who are undergoing strong levels of growth.They work closely with manufacturers of refrigerators, freezers, and air-conditioning units and as a result, they are keen to bolster their Service / Support team. As a Service / Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of a range of specialist machinery and equipment for refrigeration and air conditioning solutions. The product range is electro-mechanical, but has a bias towards being more electrical in nature. 

Salary Guideline: £40,000 per annum + car allowance & expenses. 7% employer contribution pension. Overtime paid after 37.5 hours at x1.5 rate.

The Service Engineer job will involve:

• Field based Engineer capable of carrying out service, maintenance and breakdown repairs on specialist machinery and equipment.

• Working on the installation and commissioning of existing and new machinery/equipment.

• Advise customers on the maintenance of equipment and associated parts.

• Travelling across the UK roughly 50 / 50 split stay-aways and being home. Some worldwide travel – roughly 4 trips per year

This Service Engineer job will suit:

• An Electrically biased Engineer who is used to, or open to, travelling between customer sites.

• Demonstrable experience within either a Service / Commissioning / Maintenance function.

• Specific knowledge of the Refrigeration / HVAC sector would be an advantage, but not essential.

This job is commutable from York, Leeds and the surrounding areas.
