We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer / Lead Design Engineer / Lead Mechanical Design Engineer that is excited by having the opportunity to play a key role in the growth of a cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technology developer within the UK defence sector. Rapidly growing UK company backed by a £1billion group.

Your background as a Senior Design Engineer:

• Role would suit a Senior Design Engineer, Lead Design Engineer, or Senior Design Engineer with previous experience of vehicle design / vehicle engineering design projects – this can be for on or off-road vehicles.

• Specific experience of any of the following areas would be advantageous, vehicle architectures, mechanical systems, chassis design, vehicle payloads, systems integration.

• CATIA CAD experience would be preferred.

• You will be degree qualified in a mechanical engineering or similar engineering discipline.

• You must be eligible for UK security clearance (British or European nation passport holder).

Your Responsibilities as the Senior Design Engineer:

• Lead the mechanical design and development of new vehicle concepts from requirements capture through to delivery of prototype vehicles for specialist defence applications.

• Support the enhancement, evolution, and industrialisation of vehicles.

• You will have the opportunity to work on mechanical systems design at vehicle system, sub-system, and component level.

• Actively contribute to the development of engineering processes and procedures within the UK business as it continues to grow.
