The senior buyer negotiates supplier contracts and framework agreements with suppliers so that buyers in the purchasing team can expedite purchasing orders.

·Managing and negotiating the purchasing supplier framework agreements and terms & conditions with suppliers.

·Managing procurement discussions, finding win-win solutions during price negotiations and supplier price increases.

·As a Senior Buyer, building relationships with suppliers to reduce supply chain risk, and enable win-win solutions.

·Proactive in managing / negotiating cost downs with suppliers.

·Full time, 37hrs, Mon-Friday. Flexible start time. Some transition to work-from-home potentially.

Skills and Experience for this Senior Buyer

·An experienced buyer with experience of negotiating terms and frameworks with the supply chain.

·A buyer looking for their next challenge

·A good understanding of win-win, balancing cost downs with reducing supply chain risks.

·Excellent communication skills in writing and in person. The ability to communicate, as a purchasing professional, in a professionally friendly manner during supplier negotiations.

·A purchasing and procurement profession with full MCIPS, or ongoing study, or degree educated in a numeric or business subject and career experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain buyer.

Salary £35,000 + 25 days holiday, pension etc.

This position is commutable from Chorley and surrounding areas of Preston, Blackburn, Bolton, Wigan and surrounding areas in Lancashire.
