Sales Manager jobs role with a large multinational OEM operating in / supplying into truck, commercial vehicle, fleet, logistics and haulage sectors. You will have autonomy and the chance to grow your own business unit within this multinational market leading OEM business.


Reporting directly into the Managing Director, we want a highly professional Sales Manager who is solutions / value focused and has an understanding of the truck, commercial vehicle, trailer, fleet, logistics and haulage sectors (but with a desire to work for the market leader and premium brand / OEM)


Sales Manager jobs role : further data from kick off meeting with the MD:


  • We want someone to take ownership of a business unit
  • The primary thrust is sales but you will also manage and then grow a small team (we expect you to recruit a sales trainee in time and manage a small admin and support team)
  • You will also manage inventory, making sure the strategy for your business until will deliver growth
  • You will drive sales across the UK & Ireland – focusing on value add to customers with regards to service contracts, finance and telematics (as well as selling equipment). We want someone who can carefully navigate what is right for a customer and sell on value – not just sell equipment
  • This is premium brand, premium product and we want someone who is passionate about working with a European leading brand


Your background to be suitable for this Sales manager jobs role


  • Within 1 hour 30 (approx.) to Crewe region (work from home but 1 to 2 days per week at HQ)
  • Understanding of the commercial vehicle sector. We are quite flexible here if someone is passionate about working with a European leading brand and can sell based on value and a premium product and service (but you will still have that understanding of UK logistics sector, fleet, commercial vehicles, trucks, trailers, rigids, telematics or similar)
  • Alternatively you will have strong customer awareness, selling to large fleets like Stobart / Fowler Welch or the Supermarkets like Asda or the logistics / hauliers
  • You will be seeking a role that isn’t just a sales job, something that you can have real ownership of but with the backing of a premium brand / supportive company with over 5,000 worldwide employees
  • Because this is a premium brand we want a very professional approach to sales. You will ideally have had some formal sales training OR shown that you are curious and have developed your skills by some further learning around professional value based sales
  • You will look to take a £4m t/o business unit and take it to £10m t/o. We expect the team to be 4 in time. You will be growth focused.


This Sales Manager jobs role is based near Crewe but with work from home flexibility we are happy to look at candidates within 1 hour 30 mins of Crewe. You may be located in the Crewe, Stoke, Manchester, Northwich, Liverpool, Stockport, Stafford, Birmingham
