This Rail Systems Engineer role will suit:

  • You will become an integral member of an engineering organisation that design, manufacture and deliver safety control systems / automation systems / hardware and software systems to the rail sector.
  • Previous experience of working within a rail engineering environment in an Electrical Engineer / Electronics Engineer / Systems Engineer / Project Engineer or similar role.   
  • Specific experience of any of the following technology would be advantageous, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Station Information & Security Systems (SISS), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
  • You are likely to hold a relevant qualification in an electrical engineering, electronics engineering, systems engineering or similar engineering discipline.

This Rail Systems Engineer job will involve:

  • You will be working within an engineering team to design, build, test and commission industrial control systems (both hardware and software).
  • Projects cover Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Station Information & Security Systems (SISS), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
  • Liaising with customers to determine exact technical requirements and support them through the development process to final delivery.
  • Role may involve some infrequent travel to customer project sites (UK based) when appropriate.
