​Quality Manager.

Engineering Quality Assurance and Business Improvement.

Surrey.

£60-70,000 guideline salary + pension.

Permanent.

Daytime Monday to Friday. Mainly workplace based (modern office and production facility).

Quality Manager for an engineering and electronics business with quality engineering, business process improvement, quality assurance, QMS updates, EH&S responsibilities. Design and manufacture engineering business. Roughly 60 headcount. SME design and manufacture business with a constantly evolving high tech product used in physical security applications worldwide. Capable and friendly team, high standards established already, high calibre leadership team. The key purpose of the Quality Manager role is to drive a culture, tools and processes which assure Quality, Safety, Efficiency and Environmental excellence across the lifecycle of the business.

£60-70,000 guideline salary + pension.

Some flexible working but mainly based at the office/factory workplace.

The Quality Manager will take the lead on

·Quality Assurance in a engineering design and manufacture business.

·Supplier Quality and Supplier approval including local and international suppliers of engineered and electronic components for high integrity applications.

·Maintaining the QMS in respect of Quality Assurance, Environmental H&S and specialist certifications covering security, defence and controlled products.

·Ownership of the business scorecard, using this as a tool for driving business improvement, and working with the senior team to identify capability gaps and future needs in terms of technical capability, people, skills and also Quality Assurance, EH&S, and certifications.

·There will be some interaction with customers as part of quality assurance, certification and audit.

The required skill sets:

·Internal audits. The business is ISO9001/14001/45001 accredited.

·Supplier Quality and Supply Chain Quality Assurance.

·Business improvement, lean manufacturing and people development skills (e.g. coaching).

·Some experience of working in an engineering, electro-mechanical, or similar design and manufacturing business will be ideal.

·High standard of written English and verbal communication in person, in video calls, in writing and as part of a management team.

This job is commutable from Guildford, Leatherhead, Woking, Farnborough, Surrey, Chertsey, Weybridge, Chobham, Bagshot.

£60-70,000 guideline salary + pension.
