Are you a Quality and Safety Manager looking for a new challenge? Or are you a QHSE / H&S Coordinator who is seeking that next opportunity to progress into management? If so, we have an ideal job opportunity for you.

We are working with a reputable, established manufacturer who are experiencing strong growth. In order to help continue this upward trend, they are looking to develop their QHSE policy further. As Quality Health and Safety Manager, you play an integral part in driving new changes to help improve the manufacturing process. The position has a good even balance between working on both the quality side, and health & safety side.

Salary: c£35,000 to £45,000 per annum as a guide depending on your experience. Hybrid work schedule.

This Quality and Safety Manager job will suit:

• Proven experience within a H&S role, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 1400, 45001 would be a bonus.

• NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma would be an advantage.

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement would be an advantage.

• Good communication skills.

The SHEQ Manager job will involve:

• Develop, implement and maintain an effective and robust health and safety strategy and appropriate management systems to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.

• Promote a culture of health, safety and environmental responsibility across the organisation. Establish effective communication and consultation for health and safety matters.

• Carry out and maintain company risk assessments and undertake regular internal safety and quality audits to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.

• Oversee investigations and appropriate reporting of H&S incidents. Undertake root cause analysis and preventative action planning.

• Responsible for the development and delivery of appropriate QHSE training for employees.

• Manage the organisation’s quality, environmental and continuous improvement management systems.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation by developing employee engagement in quality initiatives.
