•Procurement Supply Chain Purchasing Manager job vacancy, permanent, salary guideline £40-42,000, but negotiable for the right person.

•Engineering fabrications manufacturing business.

•The role will be hands on purchasing and procurement, and well as monitoring inventory and stock accuracy.

•Hands on purchasing includes being the buyer for commodity materials (80% of spend), indirect spend, consumables and supporting capital spend.

Salary guideline £40-42,000, but negotiable for the right person.

•The job involves managing the relationships with suppliers and purchasing procurement of metals and production materials, and some indirect spend, in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.

•The Purchasing Manager will manage suppliers in terms of pricing, negotiation and supplier relationships including performance reviews, getting feedback and increasing the inter-working relationship with suppliers.

•Also responsible for day to day monitoring of inventory and stock holding, ensuring colleagues in stores and warehouse have accurate data.

•Improvement projects will include; minimising inventory, maximise on time delivery, and working with others in planning, stores and quality to continually improve process and efficiency.There will be objectives to drive cost controls and in tandem with the wider company drive for continuous improvement for manufacturing quality, on time delivery, as well as costs.
