• Proposals Engineer, Commercial Engineer, Sales Engineer or similar. Customer facing role with a strong technical emphasis.

• The ideal candidate with have knowledge of CAD / Engineering drawings.

Are you a Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer or technical professional that has moved into a more customer facing / commercially based role.This is an excellent opportunity to work within a sales role which has more emphasis on the technical customer proposals & projects – this is NOT a cold calling, traditional sales role. This Proposals Engineer job will suit:

• A Design Engineer, mechanical engineer, manufacturing engineer or similar, that has experience with CAD / Engineering drawings.

• You will need to be comfortable in dealing with customers and have some commercial awareness – this role will work closely with clients on engineering projects, so it will need someone with the confidence and awareness to highlight problems and ask key questions.

• Any experience of Technical Sales or working in a sales role for a business that supplies a bespoke, engineering product.

• Someone that is happy with travel.The majority of the role will be based in Swadlincote, but you will be required to do some international travel (Passport essential).This won’t be extensive – could be 1 short trip a month as a maximum.
