Production Manager

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

Benefits: Pension, discretionary bonus, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, daytime shifts

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity for a Production Manager to join a friendly and successful small batch manufacturing company. This role focuses on team leadership, operational improvements, lean manufacturing, and achieving on-time in full (OTIF) delivery. The company operates across multiple manufacturing streams including standard products, quick-turnaround small batches, and high-skill oversize products.Key Responsibilities

·Lead and motivate the production team with a hands-on management style.

·Engage with all areas of the manufacturing operation through regular walkabouts.

·Utilise in-house knowledge to solve immediate issues and drive long-term lean improvements.

·Evaluate strategic initiatives such as make-or-buy decisions and supplier collaboration.

·Optimise manufacturing and storage space to improve workflow.

·Identify and resolve bottlenecks through equipment upgrades and cross-training.Ideal Candidate Profile

·Proven experience in production or manufacturing management.

·Strong leadership and people development skills.

·Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

·Ability to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
