·Production Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer with a fabrications and welding background.
·Process Improvement of welding, fabrication and build processes for steel fabrications involving pipework, valves, tanks, pressure vessels and supporting frameworks and gantries.
·This is low volume, bespoke fabrications, not mass produced.
·Understanding of welding in terms of process improvement with jigs, fixtures and tooling and the experience to look at designs and influence engineers to consider design changes to improve the manufacturability, this is sometimes called design for manufacture.
·Understanding of Health and Safety in a welding, fabrication, workshop or equipment installation workspace.
·The company has a strong order focused on specialist equipment going into process industries.
·The Production Manager leads a welding and fabrications manufacturing factory.They weld assemble and fabricate steel structures and process equipment.So experience of fabrications, welding and assembly of medium to large manufacturing would be the ideal skill set.
·Production Engineer responsibilities include process improvement, influencing design engineers to modify engineering drawings to improve the simplicity of manufacturing, welding and fabrication, supporting health and safety by looking at working methods and SOPs, supporting staff, and overall process improvement to improve quality and production targets for on time delivery within budget.
Salary level is negotiable for the right skills guideline £35,000, but for specific experience it could be negotiable.
