Are you an experienced Manager who has a strong understanding of production and distribution processes?

 

We are currently recruiting for a Manager who can act as the key link between production / manufacturing and the logistics team. As Production Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are achieved on time, in full. You will have direct reports across both functions to ensure planning is to the right standard and delivered efficiently. We need someone who is flexible across both areas so a background within a manufacturer will be essential for this position.

 

Salary & Package: Flexible salary and wider package to suit the level of experience someone can bring to the position.  

 

This Production & Distribution Manager job will suit:

  • An experienced Manager, or possibly a Supervisor with significant experience, who can multi task and liaise with both the production and distribution offices.
  • We need someone who is flexible and isn’t afraid to be hands on where needed. This isn’t a role stuck behind a desk all day.
  • Someone with proven process improvement experience and has had a strong track record of successfully ensuring distribution runs smoothly.
  • Comfortable managing Managers across both Production and Logistics.

The Production & Distribution Manager job will involve:

  • Managing the distribution team, taking responsibility for ensuring all deliveries are loaded correctly and operations are running accordingly.
  • Working with Production Supervisors to ensure processes are running smoothly and to order.
  • Ensuring the daily production meeting is effective in capturing and minimising risks to customer service
  • Overseeing production and quality KPI’s. Identifying areas that need improvement.
  • Delivering continuous improvement objectives across the Process and Distribution functions.

 

This job is commutable from Loughborough, Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Coalville.
