This Operations Manager job role will involve:

• Working in a dynamic production and operations environment where a hands-on approach to optimising the operational functions of the business is required.

• This is a machining, fabrication, and assembly manufacturing environment of sophisticated engineered products not high-volume repetitive manufacturing.

• Driving operations across Production, Warehouse, Logistics, Quality, Purchasing and H&S – 40 team members across all functions.

• Leading, managing, motivating, and optimising the current team and operational processes to support increased production volumes without compromising product quality and first-class customer service.

• Forecasting, capacity planning and production planning.

• Coach, develop and mentor people.

• Problem solve and successfully build on the processes and procedures already in place in a stable, well run and growing engineering organisation.

This Operations Manager job role will suit:

• Experience of working in a Operations Manager, Head of Operations, Production or Manufacturing management focused role with a track record of improving productivity and output.

• You will be a strong leader of people – coach, develop and mentor people but be happy to challenge when necessary.

• We are looking for a candidate that will thrive working in a dynamic, growing SME manufacturing business with a passion for delivering industry leading products and first-class customer service.

• Experience of working in an engineered product design, development, and manufacturing business not a simplistic high volume manufacturing environment is preferred.

• You will be a confident communicator across different functions of a business all looking to achieve the same goal.
