£47 - £50,000 Mechanical Engineer with Autodesk Inventor CAD skills, and hands on mechanical engineering skills. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will assess CAD designs and assess physical mechanical assemblies for repair, overhaul and failure investigation, and write workshop overhaul and repair method statements. There will be some hands on mechanical engineering work as well as desk based CAD engineers work.

The job will involve: BoM checks and sign off, condition assessments, job pack creation, engineering changes, concessions, preparation for overhaul projects, preparation for FAIs, fault investigation and diagnosis, warranty claim investigation, problem solving, creating method statements, creating component overhaul instructions, test procedures, conduct material analysis and comparisons, report compilation and reviewing, design tooling, etc (list is indicative but not exhaustive) This job will suit:

•A person with an engineering, manufacturing, HND / HNC qualification and / or hands on engineering skills in mechanical engineering.

·Work place experience of some of the following activities; production control / production planning, working with colleagues in a role requiring frequent communication to update plans and troubleshoot, planning workloads around staff availability, equipment availability and the availability of stock-held parts and components.

·Experience of an ERP system essential
