Mechanical Project Engineer – OX14, Didcot, Oxford

Mechanical Project Engineer, supporting process improvement, OEE improvement, and engineering projects to increase safety and workplace environmental demands. Engineering experience in manufacturing process improvement, monitoring equipment and improving OEE will be an advantage.3D CAD and 2D CAD skills will be needed to produce drawings. The role will suit a HND or Degree qualified mechanical engineer looking to push their engineering career forward in a manufacturing engineering Mechanical Project Engineer role.

Salary & Package: Salary & Package: around £46,000, depending on experience.

This job will suit:

•Degree or equivalent in Mechanical / Manufacturing or similar Engineering discipline

•Experience working within advanced manufacturing environment, and knowledge of process improvement, OEE, and sufficient knowledge of work place health safety and environment topics to be able to work on engineering projects to improve manufacturing process, safety and environmental demands.

•Experience of using 3D CAD and 2D CAD to produce drawings.

•Experience of projects to increase manufacturing efficiency and safety.

•Excellent communication skills this is a team role and also connects to other departments like quality and production.

The job will involve:

•Support production and engineering in the improvement of operating efficiencies.

•To keep pace with the latest technology and introduce improvement in production areas.

•Undertake engineering projects associated with process improvement and Health, Safety and Environmental.

•Introduce good practice methods of operation to reduce start up wastage and improve quality in Production areas.

•Monitor equipment performance to promote continuous improvement.

•Use of CAD 2D & 3D with FEA to produce design and assembly drawings as required.

This job is commutable from Oxford, Swindon, Witney, Didcot, Abingdon and surrounding Oxfordshire areas.
