Mechanical Workshop based in Croydon

Mechanical Engineer, Quality Inspection, Fitter job.  Mechanical strip-out and refit of mechanical equipment, replacing worn out parts, using verniers and calipers to measure precision mechanical parts on engineering machinery.  Occasionally the work involves replacing electrical parts, but this is a mechanical fitter job in a workshop factory that strips and repairs large mechanical engineering equipment.

Salary & Package: c£25,000 to £28,000 as a guide + bonus. Days based role, no shifts.  

This Mechanical Fitter job will suit:

·Prior experience of mechanical assembly or mechanical fitting of components, able to read engineering drawings, able to use vernier and calipers to measure mechanical parts.

·Able to work Croydon (can you commute to Croydon in less than 30mins?)

·Any large mechanical equipment, engines, lifting gear, pumps or rotary equipment experience would be an advantage but not essential.
