Key Duties Mechanical design engineer  

• Design and develop equipment and tooling for new products and manufacturing processes.

• Manage the development and improvement of existing tooling and manufacturing equipment.

• Review overall manufacturing processes to reduce cost, optimize efficiency and reduce waste.

• Produce drawings and technical data in support of product development

About you / Your background: mechanical design engineer

• A mechanical engineer, mechanical project engineer, design engineer or tooling design engineer

• You will be seeking mechanical design engineer jobs in the Southwell, Newark, Calverton, Nottingham, Notts, Nottinghamshire region.

• HNC (minimum) in mechanical engineering or mechanical design.

• Experience of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

• Solidworks 3D experience desirable

• AutoCAD 2D experience desirable
