 Mechanical Design Engineer 

Design of Process Equipment– OX14, Didcot, Oxford

Mechanical Engineer, developing new manufacturing process equipment solutions and upgrades and equipment investment projects as part of the engineering team at a manufacturing company.  Any experience with pumps, drives, developing new equipment, improving and problem solving production process equipment and sourcing components will be great.  The role will suit a degree qualified engineer or similar, with a few years experience and looking to push their engineering career forward.  Reporting to Engineering Manager, you will be a part of multi-disciplinary engineering team supporting ongoing investment into company’s machinery and facilities.

Salary & Package: Salary & Package: around £46,000, depending on experience. 

This job will suit:

·Degree or equivalent in Mechanical / Manufacturing or similar Engineering discipline

·Minimum 3 years’ experience working within advanced manufacturing environment

·Experience using CAD 2D and 3D required

·Experience of working in Capital Expenditure Projects as part of a team

·Experience with fluids, pumping systems desirable but not essential

·Excellent communication skills this is a team role and also connects to other departments like quality and production.

The job will involve:

·Reporting to Engineering Manager, you will support production and engineering in the improvement of operating efficiencies.

·Keeping pace with the latest technology.

·Introduce good practice methods of operation to reduce start up wastage and improve quality in Production areas.

·Monitor equipment performance to promote continuous improvement.

·Use of CAD 2D & 3D with FEA to produce design and assembly drawings as required
