This Mechanical Design Engineer jobs role will suit:

• A Mechanical Design Engineer or Design Engineer preferably with some previous experience of using SolidWorks CAD.

• This Design Engineer role is working within a small multi-disciplined engineering team, so this is a great opportunity to have a broad mechanical design engineering role and work across a variety of projects.

• Role would suit a Design Engineer that enjoys a bit of customer interaction and wants the opportunity to run their own engineering projects from start to finish (training and support available if needed).

• You are likely to hold a relevant qualification in a mechanical engineering or similar engineering discipline.

This Design Engineer job will involve:

• Taking responsibility for the full product development lifecycle from concept, through to production design and into production.

• Work with customers to understand their project requirements to be able you to create engineering solutions.

• Produce 3D CAD designs using SolidWorks (metal castings, machined metal components, mechanical assemblies, injection mouldings).

• Produce manufacturing drawings and technical specifications.

• Produce supporting technical documentation including build drawings, technical manuals, bill of materials, test  reports etc…

• Work closely with other teams to solve manufacturing, quality or similar challenges that may arise.
