Materials Engineer
Days based, hands on role that would suit an experienced Engineer or Technician who would like to work on intricate parts within an R&D / Lab environment.
Lots of variety, covering a range of tasks from material testing through to assembly and reporting.
Largely hands on role with some Excel / Data based duties.
Seeking an experienced Materials Engineer to join a growing engineering business within their materials testing laboratory. This is a hands on role that involves testing materials and ensuring components meet required specifications. Work on exciting projects across a range of sectors. This position is within a consultancy environment so there is stacks of variety across a broad customer base.
Salary & Package:
Up to £35,000 per annum.
25 days holiday + Bank Holidays with scope to purchase additional days.
8% employer pension.

This Materials Engineer job will suit:
A Technician or Engineer who is interested in working within a R&D / Lab to support the testing of components. Could potentially come from an Apprentice / HND background with some hands on mechanical engineering experience.
Good eye for detail and take an interest in scientific processes. Someone who is a Team Player and methodical in general.
Knowledge / experience of working within a laboratory for engineering parts would be an advantage.

The Materials Engineer job will involve:
Component dis-assembly, testing, examination, evaluation and measurement work using specialised laboratory equipment including hydraulic press, metrology tools, digital microscope and camera, etc.
Manipulation and processing of data using Excel.
Production of reports for review by the Senior / Principal Engineers.
Using own initiative in solving technical issues.
Supporting the day-to-day management of specialised laboratory equipment.
This job is commutable from Warrington, Manchester, Liverpool.
