HR Generalist job opportunity for a HR Officer to join a down to earth 200 headcount manufacturing / engineering business as a HR Generalist or Human Resources Officer.  Reporting to the MD you will be supported by the HR Manager with legislative and documentation changes, so you can focus on HR Officer activities:

·First point of call for on HR issues.

·Ensuring HR documentation and records are kept up to date and processing Contracts of Employment, Offer Letters, Variations, Probation Confirmations etc and providing the relevant details to Payroll.

·Assisting with Disciplinary and Grievance matters.

·Working with Heads of Teams across the Business to ensure HR policies are correctly applied and observed.

·Overseeing and facilitating new starters and leavers and the appraisals process.

·Managing Absence and conducting welfare meetings / visits.

·Supporting recruitment activities including interviewing as required.

·Promoting colleague development and training (updating training records including mandatory training like H&S).

 This HR Generalist jobs role will suit a HR Officer with:

·HR Generalist of Human Resources Officer with generalist experience.

·Ability to draft both simple and complex correspondence.

·Ability to maintain confidentiality.

·Ability to converse with a diverse range of people at all levels and adaptable to change.

·Ability to work without direct supervision.

·Any experience within the manufacturing, engineering, automotive, aerospace or similar sectors would be handy but actually it’s the personality and + SME exposure that is our main priority.

·A driving license and car – able to travel to the factories which are all within a 20 minute radius.
