Graduate Design Engineer

Milton Keynes.

£25,000-29,950 + pension.

Permanent. Daytime Monday to Friday.

Graduate Design Engineer, mechanical engineering, at a small friendly manufacturing engineering production business. Design Engineer of metal components for safety critical engineering applications. This is a great chance for a degree qualified graduate mechanical design engineer with one to three years experience to have varied role and have really good career development.

The job will involve:

Providing mechanical design engineer support to customers and colleagues, including some visits.
Support the design and develop engineered solutions to PCR Product Change Requests and customer requirements.
Create and update Bill of Materials and MIS Manufacturing Instruction Specifications.
Design with manufacturability in mind, and develop jigs, tooling and fixturing.
Creation of 3D models and 2D drawings.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
This job will suit:

·A recent graduate with one to three years design in Mechanical Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.

Experience of using 3D CAD. Ideally Solidworks.
·Strong communication skills – the ability to effectively communicate with customers on a technical level

Desire to develop and learn new skills. You’ll be part of a small team, and you will be developed in order to grow your skills and confidence.
