Manage, coach and develop a team of Gas Engineers that deliver gas appliance service engineer repairs and servicing to homeowners’ residential gas boilers and domestic gas heating customers. 

Field Service Engineer Manager

£50,000-55,000 salary depending on skill set, plus car and pension

2 days office, 3 days with engineers on customer visit

The Field Service Engineer Manager will champion high levels of customer service, spending roughly three days a week out and about with the Field Service Engineers, to coach good practice, customer service and practical advice about how to deliver fantastic service efficiently.

The ideal Field Service Engineer Manager for this role will have:

• Residential gas service engineering knowledge, perhaps with CCN1, CEN1, CENWAT, CPA1, GasSafe or similar certificates (current or lapsed).
• A passion for the coaching customer service, and helping Field Service Engineers to deliver high standards of customer service, manage their time to get the job done safely, Right First Time and onto the next appointment on time.
• The flexibility to work in the field 3-4 days a week (sometimes staying away overnight). 
• The ability to work in the office 1-2 days a week managing staff rostas, spares and stock holding, monitoring budgets and updating management reports.  You will be part of a professional management team, working alongside customer contact centre and customer excellence managers.

This role Reports to the Operations Director, and is part of a company wide push to be the very best provider of Field Service Engineering for gas repairs, domestic appliance safety and servicing for gas appliances, boilers and gas heating systems for homeowners.  The business is profitable, growing and investing in new systems and training.  This is a really exciting time to join them.

This job is commutable from Wolverhampton, Birmingham, West Bromwich, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands area.
