This Fabrication Manager job will suit:

• You will be an an experienced Fabricator first and foremost who has the ability to lead, guide and develop a team.
• You will have a strong background working in a sheet metal manufacturing / fabrication production engineering environment.
• Experience within a bespoke, sub contract manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
• The role could suit a Team Leader, Supervisor, Manager or an experienced Fabricator looking to develop their team leadership experience.
• The company pride themselves on ‘quality’ so you will have an eye for detail to ensure all work is carried out to an excellent standard.

This Fabrication Manager job will have the following responsibilities:

• Supervise the fabrication department (13 headcount) to ensure that the quality of work is in line with customer specifications and company standards and jobs are completed on time.
• Liaise with Production Manager and agree production schedule on daily basis.
• Assess the most appropriate process for completing each job efficiently.
• Ensure Fabricators are completing jobs fully and accurately.
• Clarify any queries with customers, and take the lead on customer issues when necessary.
• Monitor first time accuracy and productivity KPIs on a monthly basis and look for ways to improve performance.
• Manage staff in terms of overtime, holiday requests, absence and training needs in line with company policies.
