Are you an experienced Engineering Manager looking for a new challenge? We are working with a reputable, established manufacturer who are experiencing strong growth. In order to help continue this upward trend, they are looking to improve their Engineering function. As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring engineering projects are delivered and implemented to schedule. You will be managing a small team of Engineers who cover both mechanical and electrical duties. As Engineering Manager, you will need to have a proven record driving continuous improvement activities within a manufacturing environment. A good understanding of HSE practices is also required.

Salary: c£50,000 to £55,000 per annum as a guide. 37 days Holiday. Healthcare. Life Insurance. Progression opportunities.

This Engineering Manager job will suit:

• Proven experience within an Engineering Management role working for a manufacturer.

• Comfortable managing a small team to ensure the engineering department is working to the best of their capabilities. Multi discipline across both mechanical and electrical engineering would be an advantage.

• Experience managing machinery installation projects and driving continuous improvement activities to help lower costs.

• Strong Health and Safety / HSE knowledge and working to ISO 14001 standards.

• HNC / HND qualification within an engineering discipline.

• Working closely with the Engineering Director to devise and implement a strategy for the engineering department in order to continue developing the function.

• Managing a small team of Engineers from both Mechanical and Electrical backgrounds.

• Driving continuous improvement activities to help improve efficiency and lower costs.

• Oversee engineering projects, such as machine installations, with budget and schedule whilst understanding HSE implications.
