Electronics Engineer

Electronics / Instrumentation Engineer to conduct instrument calibration, tests and repair. This Electronics Instrumentation Engineer job will suit:

  • An experienced Electronics Engineer with practical electronics experience, ideally instrumentation and testing.

  • Previous experience of working in a UKAS accredited calibration laboratory / Vacuum environment is preferred.

  • You are likely to have a relevant qualification (HND / Degree) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar discipline.

  • Knowledge of basic PCB design.

  • An understanding of control and instrumentation principles and the use of either torque transducers, charge amplifiers, thermistors/thermocouples/RTD’s, strain gauges etc are all beneficial (We don’t need you to have experience across all areas listed).

  • Performing multi-disciplinary instrument testing, calibration, diagnosis and repair work within a scientific environment. 

  • Research and development of instrumentation within the business.

  • Perform an initial assessment of instrument faults arising during calibration.

  • Preparation of technical reports.
