The job in a nutshell. Project management – involved with panel drawings and wiring diagrams, you will take an enquiry from a manufacturing company, look at potential solutions, do some design / drawings on SolidWorks electrical, manage suppliers, liaise with sub-contractors, get involved with quotations/proposals. It’s cradle to grave (rounded and diverse role). It will suit an electrical design engineer who wants a more rounded project management job or a project engineer looking to make that next step. It’s NOT a ‘hands on’ role – if you want ‘hands on’ electrical engineering work it’s NOT for you. 

This Electrical Project Manager type role will suit:

• An electrical design engineer who wants to have a more rounded Project management role
• A project engineer who has some experience with electrical engineering (electrical design, panel drawings, wiring diagrams etc.)
• A project manager who has that electrical engineering background
• You will ideally have an additional interest in PLCs, electronics and the future of Industry 4.0 / IoT / digital twins, internet connectivity, smart factories etc.
• The company value loyalty so you will ideally have demonstrated length of tenure (with stints of 5+ years in your last 3 appointments or similar)
• A teamwork culture is really important. Culture and values are placed in very high regard in this business
