Electrical EDS Design Engineer

£40,000–£50,000 (negotiable) + 6% pension + bonus

An exciting new Electrical EDS Design Engineer job vacancy has opened at an award-winning engineering manufacturer. This newly created role focuses on the design and development of electrical distribution systems for industrial equipment and appliances. You’ll join a collaborative product development team working on innovative technologies that are exported globally.

About the Role

As an Electrical EDS Design Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement electrical distribution systems for next-generation industrial products. You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to integrate electrical systems into industrial appliances, while also supporting prototyping, testing, and product validation. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a £25m turnover UK-based engineering and manufacturing business.

·£40,000–£50,000 (negotiable) salary

·6% employer pension contribution, 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays), and a company bonus of roughly 5%

Key Responsibilities

·Design and develop electrical distribution systems for industrial equipment and appliances

·Create 2D harness drawings and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks

·Support product development from concept to production

·Participate in prototyping, testing, and design validation

·Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems

·Contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical design standards and practices

·Explore and implement new technologies as an Electrical EDS Design Engineer

Skills & Experience

·Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field

·1–3 years of relevant industry experience

·Proficient in SolidWorks for 2D and 3D electrical design

·Experience with industrial appliances or equipment is advantageous

·Strong understanding of electrical components, harnessing, and system integration

·Excellent communication and supplier engagement skills

This Electrical EDS Design Engineer role is Monday to Friday, 8.30am–4.30pm. It’s a daytime position with no shift or night work. You’ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, contributing to the development of innovative industrial products.
