​Design Engineer

• Established and stable engineering / manufacturing business with a strong order book.

• Designing marine equipment, ideally using Pro Engineer or CREO.

Salary Guide:£37,000 to £45,000 per annum. Hours – Monday to Thursday 07.45 – 16.30, Friday 07.45 – 12.45.

This Design Engineer job will suit:

• A Design Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer or CAD Design Engineer with good experience of producing 3D CAD models and 2D detailed drawings.

• Experience of using CREO CAD is also preferred.

• The role will involve designing and draughting equipment for a variety of marine-based handling applications.

• The post will offer a variety of challenges including the provision of innovative design solutions for demanding applications, providing technical input to bids and enquiries and solving problems experienced during equipment build and test in the workshop.

• Due to the nature of products, we can only consider applicants who have, or are capable of receiving, security clearance.

This Design Engineer job will involve:

• Discuss technical / product requirements with customers.

• Produce 3D CAD designs using CREO for customer projects. 

• Undertake customer site visits on occasions to discuss design briefs / technical requirements.

• Create bill of materials for projects.

• Produce manufacturing drawings.  

• Liaise with internal departments such as Sales and Manufacturing functions to ensure the smooth delivery of customer projects.
