​Design Engineer

• Mechanical Engineer role that sees you design a range of machinery used within the process sectors.

We are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design process on a range of machinery / parts. The business use Solidworks CAD package so we do need someone who has proven experience with this software. Any knowledge / experience of sheet metal design would be an advantage, but not essential.

Salary & Package: £32,000 per annum basic as a guide. Medical Insurance, Pension Scheme, Mobile Phone. Scope to develop further and progress within the business.

This Design Engineer job will suit:

• An experienced Design Engineer / Recent Graduate who has worked on component / machinery / fabrication based products.

• 3D CAD experience, we do need someone who has used Solidworks to help settle into projects easily.  

• A formal engineering qualification and methodical character.

• Projects orientated who has a good eye for detail. Good communication skills.

The Designer job will involve:

• Create customer specific CAD designs, drawings & Bills of Materials

• Providing design & engineering input into new and current machine designs.

• Working with the team to standardise the machinery ranges and drawing packages.

• Investigating and resolving queries, from suppliers and customers.
