SQL Power BI Data Analyst

£45,0000 + pension

Office Based

Birmingham

This Data Analyst job has a SQL Database and Power BI focus and will work on several SQL database reporting and SQL database migration projects. There is a planned migration to Power BI as part of the ongoing digital transformation of the IT infrastructure, systems and processes.

The business deals with thousands of homeowners across the UK each day, and the IT infrastructure is a major part of customer contact, quotes and transactions, service delivery and communication. Data Analysis is a daily tool used in detail by the business every day to optimise web based marketing according to customer demand, geographic demand and sales conversion analysis. The Data Analyst is a key part of the office-based on-site team, working alongside the IT Project Manager and managers from commercial, marketing, customer contact teams.

·Enjoy working as part of the office-based team and engaging with the commercial and customer facing teams to “understand their world” and offer thoughts and ideas based on your interpretation of data.

Job activities:

·Building and maintaining database structures and queries adhering to best practices

·Keeping up to date with development and new technologies and practices, identifying and championing those most suitable to the firm’s goals

·Championing the data normalisation program

·Design and development of databases and data warehouses in SQL Server

·Writing optimised and efficient SQL code

·Troubleshooting and optimising existing code and databases

Skillset:

·MS-SQL including SSRS and SSIS

·Power BI

·Microsoft Excel

·BI tools such as Visual Studio

·Microsoft 365 Power Apps

·Adaptable to the changes during migration projects.

·Building and maintaining database structures and queries adhering to best practices

Salary & Package: £45,000 guideline plus pension, and holiday entitlement rising from 20 to 25 days plus bank holidays.

This job is commutable from Birmingham, Dudley, Halesowen, Redditch, Harborne, Smethwick, Sandwell, Selly Oak, West Bromwich and surrounding areas.
