Customer Support Engineer – London, Whitechapel, E1

UK office of an international Software and Cyber Security company are looking for a Software Support Engineer to lead technical support, client training and projects related to software implementations, configurations and migrations with clients both offsite and on-site.

Salary guideline: Fantastic base salary (well above the market average) + pension + holidays etc.

This Customer Support Engineer job will involve:

  • Engage with the customer to fully understand their security process, suggesting opportunities for improvement leading to the re-design and re-processing of the customer’s software solution.
  • Windows / SQL Software and Server administration.
  • Migrating, integrating and configuring software and data to suit customer’s requirements (Training will be provided).
  • Run delivery, demo and training workshops with customers to ensure full delivery of all projects.
  • Working closely with the internal implementation team to give technical guidance on customer expectations.
  • Working on-site with customers to implement new software solutions, as part of a project team.

This Customer Support Engineer job will suit:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering or a similar discipline (grade of 2:1 or above).
  • Experience using MS SQL and Windows software.
  • Good problem solving skills with customer oriented mind-set. Ability to make logical and fact based decisions.
  • Experience of working on a software system implementation for security, production, planning or similar applications.
  • Understand and be able to support security software and associated IT databases and infrastructure.
