Control Systems Engineer, Stockport   

  • Control Systems Engineer jobs role. Would suit a Control Systems Engineer, Control Engineer or Project Engineer or Technical Support Engineer with experience of PLC, SCADA or HMI software systems.

  • £35K - £40K basic salary commensurate with experience + travel / onsite working allowances (this typically adds another £5K – £15K per annum depending upon the amount of onsite work undertaken.

The Control Systems Engineer job will suit:

  • Experience of working with industrial control systems, specific experience of any of the following is preferred PLCs, SCADA systems, HMIs, Industrial Communication and Networking Protocols.
  • Able to interpret control system design information (Functional Design Specifications, P&IDs, System Drawings).
  • Comfortable and able to incorporate an element of UK and international into your role.
  • You are likely to hold a relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in an engineering or similar discipline.

The Control Systems Engineer job will involve:  

  • You will provide detailed technical engineering support to customers through in-house engineering work as well as visits to customer sites – mainly UK with some international and offshore travel.
  • Commissioning, modification and maintenance of process control and safety related industrial control systems.
  • Configuring PLC, SCADA and HMI software and designing general control system modifications.
  • Customer liaison to establish, assess and interpret their technical requirements and provide practical solutions.
  • You will typically be based in the office 70% of the time with 20% UK travel, 5% international travel and 5% offshore. This can obviously vary either way a little due to customer / project requirements.
