Are you a Control Panel Design engineer, Systems Engineer or Electrical Design engineer who has strong control panel design experience? There are 2 jobs here, a 6 month contractor and a permanent position (so if you have good control panel design experience please get in contact)

The Control Panel Design Engineer Key Info 

 

• The control panels are fairly complex but full training and support will be provided (for the permanent role – contractor wise we would hope to get good overlap) 

• Wider work on motor controls and a bit of relay logic

• Creating electrical diagrams; wiring, schematics, General Arrangement Drawings for LV Control Panels / Motor Control Centres

• Design using AutoCAD 

• Sizing and selecting components

• Motor controls, sequencing, panel logic

• Projects are weeks not years, snappy and out the door, 3 to 5 projects on the go at one time

 

Key Questions we might ask in our process

 

• What experience have you got working and designing with mainly Schneider & ABB low voltage control gear within a control panel 

• What experience have you had with load & KA rating/calculation and design of control panel  

• What experience have you with implementing design & selection of motor controls & hard wired relay logic

• What experience have you with implementing design & selection of varying  manufacturers for VSD units & PLC’s

• Have you any PLC software design experience (mainly Mitsubishi, Siemens and Allen Bradley)
