The Contract Project Engineer role is focussed on ensuring the technical / mechanical engineering aspects are delivered to timing and budget targets. Projects are design, build and installation of gas control and metering equipment – fabricated piping structures with associated instrumentation.

This Contract Project Engineer job will suit:

• A Project Engineer or Project Manager with a mechanical engineering background.
• A Project Engineer with experience of taking responsibility for delivering the technical aspects of mechanical engineering projects – bringing project documentation together, ensuring drawing/designs compliance, witnessing FATs.
• Experience of working within a utilities or process engineering e.g. oil & gas, chemical engineering or a metal fabrication environment would be beneficial but not at all essential.

The Contract Project Engineer job will involve:

• Work closely with Project Managers to ensure the technical aspects of projects are correctly specified and timing and budget targets are met.
• Provide due diligence to drawings and designs ensuring they meet the necessary industry approvals and certifications.
• Management of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Work closely with Electrical, CAD and process engineering disciplines.
