Contract Automotive Performance and Durability Engineer

  • Role would suit an Automotive Engineer with specific experience of delivering vehicle performance and vehicle durability projects.
  • Contract details: 6 months initial contract, negotiable hourly rate, role is inside IR35.

This Automotive Performance and Durability Engineer job will involve:

  • Working on an incredibly diverse range of automotive projects to deliver vehicle performance and durability projects including structural, powertrain, corrosion, benchmarking and performance tests.
  • You will be running development projects from start to finish across several vehicle types – EVs, HEVs, autonomous vehicles and ICE vehicles.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineering teams such as Vehicle Dynamics, Braking and NVH.
  • You will have the opportunity to have an input into the development of the team e.g. process improvements, input into customer proposals etc…

This Automotive Performance and Durability Engineer job will suit:

  • We are looking for a candidate with whole vehicle understanding and previous experience of delivering automotive / vehicle performance and durability projects.
  • You are likely to have gained your experience within a technical consulting, test, vehicle manufacturer or 1st tier supplier organisation.
  • An Automotive Engineer with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues on a regular basis.
  • Good data analysis and reporting skills.
  • You will be degree qualified in a mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or similar engineering discipline.
