Commercial Analyst

£55,000-£60,000 salary plus car allowance, pension and bonus

This Commercial Analyst job is part of the senior leadership team of a manufacturing business with the majority of their sales in overseas markets with globally recognised customers. Reporting the CEO, the Commercial Analyst will have a varied role;

·Financial and commercial analysis of costings, pricing, margins, yield, return on investment, etc.

·Developing financial models to assess commercial risk and opportunities.

·Developing financial tools like standard costs and commercial dashboards.

·Commercial risk analysis of business contracts and SLA’s, and working with colleagues to identify commercial risk, contribute to problem solving and de-risk contractual agreements.

·Working as part of the senior leadership team and helping to challenge business assumptions by using data and commercial analysis.

·Take responsibility for pricing, with costings provided by the purchasing and engineering teams.

·As part of the management team, contribute to the commercial aspect of special projects (eg property questions, capital spend, and overseas projects in the USA).

This Commercial Analyst will suit a person with an inquisitive approach and the ability to work closely with colleagues. The role is newly created and it will suit a self-starter that will seek out opportunities to use their skills across the business. In addition, the Commercial Analyst will:

·Be highly numerate, confident with data manipulation and building spreadsheets and dashboards.

·Have a very high standard of written an verbal English language skills in order to be able to; read and understand SLA’s and business contracts; communicate verbally to colleagues, suppliers, trade partners or customers; write concisely, summarise data or contribute text to business contracts.

·Have a degree education probably in business, finance, maths or similar numeracy biased subject.

·An appreciation of the business functions (sales, supply chain, customer support and finance) of a company aT/Over in excess of £20m.

Salary & Package: £55,000-£60,000 salary plus car allowance, 9% pension, 25 days leave (+BHols) and partnership company bonus.
