We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner from a precision machining background. We are working with a leading company involved in the development and manufacture of precision machining, high technology, engineering components that supply into various industries. As a CNC Turner you will be setting and operating a larger XYZ lathe on the dayshift.

Salary & Hours: c£35,000 to £37,000 per annum. Overtime paid at x1.5 hourly rate. Flexible hours; either Monday to Thursday 7am – 4pm, Friday 7am – 12 pm. Alternatively, Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 1 pm.

The CNC Turner job will involve:

• Setting and operation of 3m length XYZ CNC turning machine / lathe. Online programming experience would be an advantage.

• Operating 3, 4 and 5 axis machines using either Fanuc, Mazatrol, XYZ or Siemens based controls.

• Working with mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, plastics, cast iron materials.

• Performing quality checks on machined components.

• Other associated machine shop duties, such as inspection.

This CNC Turner job will suit:

• Extensive demonstrable experience of setting/operating CNC turning machines

• 3, 4 , or 5 axis CNC experience

• Some knowledge of programming desirable.

• Apprentice trained or hold a formal engineering qualification.
